Today on our 2013 Hyundai Elantra, we're going to take a look at, and show you how to install, the CURT T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, with the four pole flat trainer connector. Part number is C56126. As you can see, it's nice, out of the way. We don't see any wires hanging out or anything like that. But when we need it, simple as pulling that up, pulling our wire out. That's going to be able to set right over that threshold right there. That padding right there on that weatherstrip gives up plenty of room so we can just close our trunk up, just like that. more

Now, to begin our installation, we need to remove the two caps off our two plugs right here in the rear passenger side. You can see we've got one here. WE need to press the tab in, and then work it backwards so that cap will come off. Knock off any dirt or debris that might be on there. more

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to show you how to install the Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness with the four fold flat trailer connector, Part number C-5-6-1-8-4. Now we're going to begin by clearing out the rear cargo area, here. Just want to kind of, get the stuff up and out of the way. Now, with that cleared out, let's pull the little caps off of our bolt covers, then we'll remove the bolts underneath. We'll pull up on our cargo compartment and just set that out of the way. Now it's time to just, kind of, pull up on our threshold here. Pop that up all the way across. more

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe we're going to review and install the Tow Rated Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness part number 118269 for vehicles equipped with a factory tow package. Here's what our four flat connector's going to look like once installed. Next we're going to go ahead and test it. Using a test light, take our ground clamp and put it on the white wire terminal which would be the ground circuit for our four flag connector. Then testing the next terminal over will be the brown wire for our running light circuit, and then the yellow wired terminal will be the driver's side turn signal and brake. Our green wired terminal will be the passenger's side turn signal and brake. Now we know our four flat connector works, we're ready to hit the road. more

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Accent, we'll be installing the tow ready tail light converter hard wire kit with four-pole connector, part number 119178KIT. To begin our install, we'll first remove the rear cargo mat and spare tire well cover. Then we can go ahead and remove the spare tire well foam organizer. Next we'll remove the cargo net and then the rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold, we simply pull out and up to release the fasteners underneath. Next, we'll remove the cargo cover. more

Today, on this 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited, we're going to install part number C56184 from Curt. This is the Curt T-connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Typically, with wire harness, will be installed with all the wires ran inside the vehicle. However, the customer, in this case, wants the wiring ran through the outside, so we're going to deviate from the norm on installing this part. First off, this tail light needs to be removed, and we're also going to loosen up this bumper cover right here. We've got the other side already done to show you how much room it will give you, it'll be worth taking apart. Once we have loose you can see we can run our connection point which will be here, and then run our wires down towards the bottom and towards the hitch. Let's start off, we'll go ahead and open our back hatch and we'll go ahead and remove our tail light. Now, all these steps in the passenger side will be the same on the driver side. more

Today on our 2012 Hyundai Veracruz we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56151. This is our custom-fit wiring harness and will plug directly into the manufacturer's tow package ports. Here on the passenger side, between the wheel well liner, rear bumper cover and hitch, you can locate the two manufacturer's tow ports. Now that we've located them, we need to remove the cap off pf the tow port plug. To do that, we'll press on the locking tab and then remove the cap. To give ourselves a little working room, I'm going to go ahead and take the push pin fastener out that's holding the plug in place. more

Today on our 2009 Hyundai Tucson, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four Full Flat Connector, party number 118397. Next, we'll go ahead and show you how to use the new Four Full Connector. To use the Four Full Connector, we'll simply take it out from underneath the cargo cover and run it out and down to the hitch or accessory. Be careful to stay away from the latch as pinching the wire off in the latch can damage it, however the weather stripping is thick enough that it won't and we can simply close the cargo door on it. Then, once we're finished using our new Four Full Connector we'll simply roll it up and store it underneath the rear cargo lid. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the spare tire cargo cover, then the spare tire cargo trey. Next, we'll need to remove the rear threshold. more

Now we're going to go ahead and begin here underneath the vehicle. We're over underneath the drivers side of the vehicle and we're going to point out the two locations we'll be connecting our wiring harness to. It's right here and right here. Now, we'll first need to remove the plugs that are already in the connectors on the vehicle. Now in order to remove the cap, we'll need to push in on the locking tab here and gently pull outward. more

Now we also need to loosen up the interior panels. To start off well go ahead and loosen up the tie down points that are on each side of the vehicle. They just simply unscrew from the panel on the inside. Next theres an access panel behind the taillight so its ready to open up. Works best with anything with a flat edge to it. more

Today on our 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe, we'll be installing the tow ready T1 custom fit vehicle wiring harness, part number 118269. Our first step will be removing the under body panel on the driver's side. We'll remove the four push pin fasteners and then gently pull or pry down on the under body panel, releasing the two fasteners that go into studs in the bottom of the floor pan. If these are tied to the frame, these could be difficult to see. Once you remove the under body panel, go ahead and locate the manufacturer's till ports. There will be two of them on the inner fender well behind the driver's side rear wheel. Once we locate the two ports, we'll go ahead and remove the connector covers, pressing the locking tab to remove the cover for each. Once we have them out of the way, we can go ahead and take the new tow ready harness and plug directly into the manufacturer's ports. Next, we'll take the converter box and mount it to the vehicle. more

Today on our 2014 Hyundai Tucson, we'll be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with a 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 56101. First, we'll open up the rear hatch. Then, starting on the driver side, we'll remove the two fasteners that secure the tail light housing. Remove the fasteners and then we're going to go ahead and pop the tail light housing free. Be careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. Now, we can disconnect the manufacturers wiring that goes into the back of the tail light assembly, removing the connector from the socket. To do that, we'll press on the locking tab, removing the connector. Then, we'll go ahead and set tail light assembly aside. more

First thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the back hatch, and then we need to remove the tail lights. There will be 2 screws that we have to remove for our tail lights. Once the screws are removed, we need to pull straight back on the tail light to release it from the body work. There's a small tab we have to push down, and then we can release it and pull it away. Then we'll go ahead and set the tail light away for now. more

We'll go ahead and begin here, by opening up the trunk of the vehicle. Next, we'll need to remove this rear scuff panel. To do this, we'll need to remove three plastic fasteners. Two that have kind of wing nut style design, where you can simply unscrew them with just your hand, and the center location you'll need to use either a large flat-head screwdriver or a trim panel remover tool. Once we have these three fasteners out, we can go ahead and lift up the center scuff panel and set it out of the way. more

Today on this 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe we are going to install part number C56152 from Curt. OK, this wire harness plugs into the factory tow package, that's located on the vehicle, on the driver side, next to the exhaust. OK, to start off, we are going to remove the caps on both ends, there's a small tab that we push down and we can pull off the tab. We'll do this on both connectors. Now the older the vehicle is the more dirty this will be, and probably the harder to remove.OK, now we'll take the wire harness with the matching ends, plug them in into the factory wiring harness. We'll plug them together until you hear a click, where they snap together.We are going to go ahead and loosen up our exhaust, lower it down. And then we are going to loosen up the heat shield. more

Today on our 2010 Hyundai Tucson we'll be installing the tow-ready T1 four flat wiring connector, part number 118501. To begin with we will need to raise the rear hatch. Once we have that up we'll need to remove both of the tail light assemblies. To do this you'll need to remove two Philips head screws from each of the light assemblies. Once the two screws are out pull gently outward on the light assembly towards the back of the vehicle and it should release from its two other tabs that are behind the light. Once you have it out we'll go ahead and squeeze the wiring connector and pull it apart. Be careful when doing this so you don't break the locking tab. Now that we have both light assemblies disconnected we can set them aside for right now. more

Today on this 2009 Hyundai Veracruz were going to install part number 118529 from Tow Ready. The first thing were going to do is find the ports to plug our wire harness into. Its located on the left hand side of the vehicle right behind the fender and bumper. What were going to do is pop them loose so we get easier access to the caps, and remove the caps. Next well go ahead and route our wire harness through the bumper structure and down to the ports. Its kind of hard to see, but theres a hole in the bumper structure right in front of the frame rail, so you have to take the wire harness and push into that hole and then out toward the back of the bumper. more

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, we'll be installing the Tow Ready, T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, Part Number 118571. First, we'll open up the rear cargo door then we'll remove the two fasteners securing driver's side tail light housing. Next, we'll go ahead and remove the tail light housing by pulling backward towards the rear of the vehicle, popping it free from its alignment pins and fasteners underneath then we'll go ahead and press in the locking tab for the connector and remove the wiring from the tail light assembly. Next, we'll remove the rear bumper cover fastener securing here underneath the tail light assembly. We'll remove this so that we can pull out on it giving us more access to feeding our wires from underneath up into the tail light assembly area. Now, we have the driver's side tail light assembly remove, we'll go ahead and repeat the same process in the passenger side. more

Today on our 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe well install the Tow Ready T1 Connector, part number 118258. First lets go ahead and identify the manufacturers plugs or towing port that well be plugging into. Here on the drivers side underneath the vehicle behind the rear axle or tire are the two ports that are built in by the manufacturer. Well be connecting into these ports, but first were going to go ahead and disconnect them from the vehicle, push the grommet back into the interior of the vehicle and feed them back into the cabin. Now with them disconnected and fed into the cabin well go ahead and get inside the vehicle. Were going to remove the two storage trays and the drivers side quarter panel. more

Today on our 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, well be installing the Tow Ready T1 connector, part number 118415. To begin our installation well first remove the rear threshold and rear cargo tray. To do this well first remove the three screws securing the rear cargo tray. Then well take our trim tool or a flat bladed screw driver, get underneath the rear threshold and pop it free from its fasteners. Now we can go ahead and take the rear cargo tray out of the vehicle and set it aside for re-installation later. Next well go ahead and remove the access panel on both the driver and passenger side. more

We'll pull the handle here opening the door. To remove the threshold we'll peel the rubber molding away which will allow us to bet underneath the threshold. With our rear threshold loose we already moved the jack tools. We'll undo the three bolts that hold the tray in place. more

Today on our 2009 Hyundai Sonata, well be installing Tow Ready T1 Connector part number 118433. Well begin by opening the trunk. Now well need to remove the threshold and the fasteners for the interior to expose the wiring for our tail light. To remove the threshold molding, well simply reach under the trim with our trim tool, locate the tabs that are holding it in place and pop them free. Well now move on to the carpet covering the tail light wiring. Well need to pull the threshold molding away from the vehicle as there is a clip up here that holds the carpet in. more

Now, to get access to the wiring connectors, we have to remove some flooring panels and loosen the side panels so we can get access to the wiring behind the tail light. This lid and the tray below it get removed first, the two fasteners here, here, and one on the jack. Pop, this catches loose. Alright, next, we'll go ahead and remove the threshold. Alright, we'll unscrew this fastener here and there's one up here, will do too. more

I'm going to go ahead and push the rear seats forward and then we're going to remove the cargo cover and then we're going to remove the rear cargo trays on both sides and the center. Next, we'll go ahead and remove the cargo hooks from the rear frame. There's the cargo hook on the passenger's side, I'll go ahead and repeat the same process on the driver's side. more

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118473 on a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. Taking a look at the wiring harness, you can see we have got two main ports coming off of the Modulite box. We have got one with the yellow and brown wires. That one is going to connect behind the drivers side tail light assembly. The other connector, with the green and red wires, is going to be connected behind the passengers side tail light assembly. We have also got a white terminal here on the drivers side connector. That is for the ground, securing that to a metal surface. The black box in the middle is our converter box. And then, coming off the other end, we have got our 4-pole connector. And that will be staying inside the vehicle in this application. more

Today we are going to install part number 118433 from Tow-Ready on our 2006 Hyundai Sonata. The wiring connection points are right behind the tail lights here behind this access panel. And right behind here is the connection point. Take that apart, and the T-1 connector fits in there. You have to route from one side to the other, so this panel has to come loose, this panel has to come loose, and also this panel on the other side will have to come loose. We will take apart our connection point here. We will install the T-1 connector. The yellow side will go to the drivers side. We will install that, and then the factory wire will plug onto the other side on the T-connector. And we have a ground wire here. We will attach that to the factory ground right here. Next, the red wire here will run across to the passengers side of the vehicle. This wire here will get zip-tied to the wire harness going back across. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Hyundai Sonota

This part also fits 2007 Hyundai Elantra. The first thing we need to do is open the trunk and take apart some of the interior lining. First well show you one of the access points for the wiring on the passengers side. Just take off this cover here, it unscrews, comes down, and its kind of hard to see but right here at this point is where we take apart the harness and install the T-1 connector. Simply push that button in and it comes apart. Before we can make our connection this panel has to come off and this panel here has to come off because we have to run the wire harness all the way across to the other side. To take off this panel here, theres one plastic rivet on each side of the panel. Once you get those taken out, gently pull up on it on both sides and maybe under here with a pry tool and the whole thing comes apart like that. more
